About Me

I am a German Canadian who has been living in the USA since 1996. My travels have taken me to 27 nations of the world.

I use a Canon SD100/SD110 for most of these pictures.

My Interests

I have been in 27 countries. My favourite parts of the world are the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, southern Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Hawaii. However, I could easily live in Guatemala, Croatia and Romania. I'd love to see more of Africa and I've always wanted to go to New Zealand and Australia. All the Aussies I have met have been great., Other than traveling -- I LOVE the beach. I like to mess around in my yard (pulling weeds, sweeping leaves, mowing the lawn, etc. is strangely relaxing to me). I love living in cross-cultural environments, which makes where we are living right now rather boring (70% white, 25% hispanic, 5% "other").

Music

Bob Dylan, Barry McGuire, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones, Cheryl Crowe, Alanis M., Leonard Cohen, Tina Turner, Tom Petty, Neil Young, The Band, and I love the Blues.

Movies

Science Fiction, British Comedies, Political Movies (Bullworth was excellent), Woody Allen films. Michael Moore (though he isn't always careful with the facts)

Television

I love political shows. But we don't have cable, so PBS is the best. That goes for British comedies as well. Faulty Towers, Are You Being Served, etc.

Books

Tom Clancy novels are usually great. I also like to read philosophy, theology, analysis of current world trends.
